Mr. Dale Hancock is Entropic's vice president of Engineering. Bringing more than 25-years of industry experience in product design and development to Entropic, Dale leads the worldwide development and execution of Entropic’s technology product portfolio.
Dale joined Entropic in 2007, through the acquisition of RF Magic, which he co-founded and served as chief technology officer and vice president of engineering. Currently in his role with Entropic, Dale leads a global team of more than 500 engineers to transform the connected home experience. Focused on home network technology innovation, Dale is instrumental in designing and delivering the enabling technologies that allow Pay-TV service providers to give consumers more captivating whole-home entertainment experiences.
Earlier in his career, Dale held senior engineering positions at RF Magic, Conexant, ComStream Corporation, and Linkabit where he optimized his expertise in RF (radio frequency) systems engineering, receiver and transmitter design, and design for high volume consumer applications. Dale is credited with inventing a number of industry firsts, including the world's first silicon tuner for Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS), the world's first high performance silicon tuner for the reception of terrestrial television, and the world's first channel stacking switch (CSS) radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) for DBS markets.
Dale holds a master’s of science degree in electrical engineering from San Diego State University and a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from The University of California, San Diego.
