c.LINK^® Access

Entropic's broadband access solutions are designed to meet broadband access requirements in areas characterized by fiber optic networks that terminate within approximately one kilometer of a customer premises. Our c.LINK Access solution uses the coax infrastructure to deliver "last kilometer" connectivity for high-speed broadband access to single-family homes and MDUs.

c.LINK Access chipsets incorporate the same PHY used in our home networking products and a different network-optimized MAC technology. Our broadband access solutions offer high performance with net throughput in excess of 100 Mbps. The point-to-multi-point architecture of our solutions currently supports up to 31 subscribers on a single RF channel. Further, c.LINK Access is able to simultaneously support up to four channels over a single coax cable. As a result, our solution is scalable up to 124 subscribers over a single distribution cable supporting an effective PHY rate of over 1 Gbps. With the c.LINK Access solution, service providers can create an easy, cost-effective system for delivering high-speed data and video networking services to home owners and apartment residents.
