CX24482

Single-Chip STB (DVB-C) SoC

Overview

The CX24482 is Entropic's single-chip set-top box (STB) system-on-a-chip (SoC) cable solution. Equipped with a high-performance CPU and a host of premium features, these ICs give set-top box manufacturers the lowest system bill of materials (BoM). A tuner, SDRAM, and Flash memory are all that’s required to complete a cutting-edge system.

This solution, which includes powerful MPEG-2 decoder ICs for DVB-C set-top boxes, is specially designed to give manufacturers and broadcast service providers the highest levels of performance in a format that saves space, cuts design time and lowers overall cost.

Additionally, this complete IC provides advanced security features, using embedded cryptographic technology for secure authentication of any set-top box system software loaded into the Flash memory as well as support for major Conditional Access vendor requirements, including: NDS, Nagravision, Conax, Latens and Irdeto.
